Every student deserves to thrive and be heard
Committed to equity, community voice, and building schools where students, families, and educators shape the future together.
Putting Students First
While our schools have a strong foundation, we must address the significant achievement gaps that persist in our district. My priority is ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education by targeting resources toward those who need them most. This includes expanding after-school enrichment and tutoring programs that provide the essential academic support students need to thrive in the classroom.
Strengthening Parent & Community Engagement
A successful school district relies on active partnerships with parents and local residents. We need to increase parent engagement by improving communication and expanding language access for all families. By ensuring that our school board and administration are truly responsive to the community's needs, we can move past division and focus on our shared goal: the success and well-being of our children.
Safe Schools & Supportive Discipline
Creating a safe, secure, and respectful learning environment is fundamental to student achievement. Our approach to school safety emphasizes restorative discipline and early intervention; we must support our students' growth rather than relying solely on punitive measures. I advocate for strong partnerships between schools and safety professionals to ensure a secure campus, while utilizing clear accountability standards to protect every student and faculty member. Every child deserves a second chance to learn from their mistakes in a supportive environment that prepares them for a productive future.
